Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha (ACKS) registered under Indian trade union act and INTUC (Indian National Trade Union Congress) is the only trade union constituted to safeguard the service conditions of the staff employees employed under clerical, medical, technical and school teaching grades in various tea gardens all across the Brahmaputra valley, ACKS was established on 9th February 1947 and was registered on 01.04.1947. At present ACKS is providing social as well as service security to about 18000/- of its members. The central office of ACKS is situated at south Amolapatty (Bijoy Bhawan), Dibrugarh, Assam; the union has 20 circles all across the Brahmaputra valley and also separate units constituted in every garden.
ACKS is celebrating its diamond jubilee as well as conducting its 62nd central biennial conference to be held at Duliajan and the same is promoted in its website. We hope that the dream seen by the staff employees of various tea estates all across the Brahmaputra valley will definitely turn to reality.
